Defect Summary
Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2013-2016 Ford Fusion and Lincoln MKZ, 2015-2016 Ford Edge, and 2016 Lincoln MKX vehicles originally sold, or currently registered in Connecticut, Delaware, the District of Columbia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, West Virginia, and Wisconsin. Road salt or other contaminants may corrode the electric power steering gear motor attachment bolts.
Consequence Summary
If the bolts corrode, the steering gear motor may detach from the gear housing resulting in a loss of power steering assist, requiring a greater steering effort, especially at lower speeds, and increasing the risk of a crash.
Corrective Summary
Ford will notify owners, and dealers will replace the steering gear motor bolts and apply a wax sealer. If any of the steering gear motor attachment bolts are broken or missing, a new steering gear will be installed in the vehicle. These repairs will be performed free of charge. The recall began October 18, 2019. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 19S26.

Brett Croman (Systems Engineering Manager at TrustCommerce) is a 40 year old man who was in contact with a 14 year old boy since April 3rd 2020 until Febuary 21st 2021 online. Over 11 months, Brett sent graphic videos of himself and numerous explicit chats to the minor and also asked the 14 year old for illegal pictures. On February 21st, Brett wanted to meet up with the minor, and the minor suggested meeting at Albertsons and Brett showed up looking to "hook up" and "take a shower together" and was confronted and was asked what he was doing here, his response was "hard to say" and he didn't think he did anything wrong, when asked why he would send a inappropriate video of himself to a 14 year old boy, his response was "Did I?!?!?.... Well that's what I get for using my phone when I'm high.... I'm not right now buuut last night, yeah". During the entire video the predator shows no remorse, is very nonchalant about it all and is more interested with his phone, and just tries to cover for his partner Jesse Merino who he also had implied was involved over text messages and claimed Jesse was worried the 14 year old might actually be a cop. He also pretends to start to pass out in the video to try and get sympathy from the public but ends up just looking dumb instead.
