Driver of this vehicle performed an illegal pass at a 4way intersection (unfortunately it doesn't show up on the dashcam). He and his buddy in the car performed this pass so they could break check me with the intention of forcing me to stop/running me off the road/committing insurance fraud. After I was forced to stop the two of them proceeded to scream at me about being a reckless driver (I might have cut them off earlier I don't know I didn't see them and it didn't show up in the video. If I did cut them off it happened at the stop sign at the beginning of the video not at the 4way intersection as they were originally behind me. If I did cut them off, if doesn't justify what he did or make it any less violent and dangerous. Also, no audio sorry). I left rapidly as I did not feel safe. Defect Summary Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2014-2018 Lincoln MKZ and Ford Fusion vehicles. The steering wheel retaining bolt may loosen allowing the steering wheel to detach while driving.

Consequence Summary A steering wheel detachment can cause a loss of steering control, increasing the risk of a crash.

Corrective Summary Ford will notify owners, and dealers will replace the steering wheel bolt with a longer bolt, free of charge. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 18S08.

Defect Summary Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2017 Lincoln MKZ and Ford Edge and Fusion vehicles. On vehicles with 2.0L gas engines and six-speed automatic transmissions, the torque converter weld studs may have been inadequately welded.

Consequence Summary If the torque converter weld studs fail, the torque converter will not be connected to the engine flexplate and the vehicle will lose the ability to move, increasing the risk of a crash.

Corrective Summary Ford or Lincoln will notify owners, and dealers will replace the torque converters, free of charge. The recall began August 25, 2017. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 17S16.

Defect Summary Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2017 Ford Fusion vehicles manufactured September 27, 2016, to September 28, 2016. The left rear seat backs pivot pins may have been improperly welded.

Consequence Summary During a crash, the improper welds may fail, allowing any stowed luggage to move into the passenger compartment, increasing the risk of injury.

Corrective Summary Ford will notify owners, and dealers will replace the left hand, second row seat back frame, free of charge. The recall began January 10, 2017. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 16S43.

Comments

The owner of this car, while I don't know who it is (We live in the same neighborhood so if he becomes a persistent problem I could theoretically find him), is a violent and unstable person. Maybe I cut this person off, I don't know. He doesn't show up in the dash cam video and I didn't see him when I looked at the stop sign. Point is, even if I did that doesn't forgive what he did. While I was at a 4 way intersection and he was behind me I turned right. WHILE I was turning he turned with me and passed me during the turn (A highly dangerous and ILLEGAL MOVE, we were both rounding the corner at the same time). After passing me he immediately slams on his break and I had to slam on my breaks in turn and swerve a bit to avoid hitting him. Him and his passenger, both above middle aged men wearing baseball caps begin screaming at me about cutting them off. I was scare for my life (or at least my property, I got out from behind them as fast as I could incase these dangerous individuals decided to go full speed in reverse). This man looked like the type of person to have a gun in there car and based on evidence they had just presented to me lacked the reason to responsibly use them, so I didn't hang around long. I don't care if I did or didn't cut this person off, that doesn't make what he did OK. You don't just drive like that. You don't just gang up with your buddy to force a young woman alone in her car to stop so you can scream at her about reckless driving after performing an illegal pass at a 4 way stop, the purpose of which is to break checking them with the intention of running them off the road or possible committing insurance fraud. The dash cam video doesn't have audio (I didn't want record of my bad singing when I adjusted the settings on the dashcam, a choice I regret now since I can't upload his rant), and it doesn't have the right angle to show that he passed me while I was turning. But it does shown the break check that force me to stop. I will attempt to upload it to this site. I had to trim the video a bit to hide wear I live. In case he sells this car, the event happened on 12/21/2020.
