Defect Summary Hyundai Motor America (Hyundai) is recalling certain 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe and Santa Fe Sport vehicles. The steering wheel assembly may break, possibly resulting in the steering wheel separating from the steering column while driving.

Consequence Summary A steering wheel separation while driving can cause a loss of vehicle control and increase the risk of a crash.

Corrective Summary Hyundai will notify owners, and dealers will check the production lot number of the steering wheel assembly, replacing it as necessary, free of charge. The recall began on March 26, 2018. Owners may contact Hyundai customer service at 1-855-371-9460. Hyundai's number for this recall is 173.

This guy in this vehicle is a very dangerous driver with a bad temper who has no respect for females or little children in the car. He speed off thru the ally without any flashing light or beeping to warn ongoing by standard or drivers he was coming out the ally.. it being winter in the evening snow galling down my two kids were walking as I was in my car about to leave n my kid slid a bit and car almost ran him over he didn't stop he just pulled off crossing over a man in a bike..why is another man in a bike in the snow well thats another story I don't know. So I pulled out and drove behind the crazy driver upset and then he parks .. I lower my window and said excuse me can I recommend if that when ur driving down an alley u should beep to notify bystanders n other vehicles that ur coming out especially in snow conditions..he said whatever ho fucking home in front of my 9 yr old who hates cuss words.. the driver had a bad attitude mid early thirties Hispanic race short med slim built .. yes I have a good eye.. anyhow. I was so upset .. I took a picture of his plate. . He got furious n and drove in front of me n blocked me making my daughter scared in the back seat. I reverse then manage to pull aside n drove home.
